Today we received pictures of our first two, fully-minted Companion Bike Seats, fresh off the production line! Everything looks good from the initial inspection and they are sending the bike seats to us as we speak. Once we've been able to verify that everything is tip-top, we'll give the factory the go-ahead to make the rest of the first hundred Companion Bike Seats! 

"Dear Dan:
We will try to provide the inspection report to you tomorrow,and once you confirm it is ok, then we will send 1pc sample to you for review, thanks.

We heard back from the factory, and the first two production units are complete! They're going to be sending us pictures very soon and mailing them to us ASAP ... we're very close!

Here's the email we received from our factory in China today:

"Dear Dan:
The 2 pcs sample are on the way to our office now, and we will get them on tomorrow,
we will check the quality and arrange to send to you if everything is ok, thanks.

We hope the New Year exceeds your expectations in every respect! We're planning for 2013 to be a big year now that we've gotten production underway, and we're excited to finally be able to send you your Companion Bike Seat very soon.

A quick update, the factory is finishing up the necessary tooling and will be sending over the first couple production units to us in mid January for verification and quality testing. If everything looks good there, we'll give them the green light and they'll finish up the first hundred Companion Bike Seats. We'll make sure and send out pictures of these first production units as soon as we receive them.
